Downloading a Sample Custom Form
- Right-click on this link
- Select Save Target As... from the shortcut menu that appears
- When the Save As box window appears, browse to your Windows Desktop and click the Save button
- The document will be copied to your computer
- You can open this document and add InStar field tags, using the
Quick Reference document here.
Installing the Form in AMS-InStar
- In InStar, click on Main Menu » System Setup » Template Tables
- Click the Word/Excel button
- In the Word/Excel Merge Templates window, click the Add button
- Fill in the fields and click the Choose Doc to browse for your downloaded Word template
- Click the Save button to complete the installation process
Testing the Form
- Open an auto policy and click the Forms button
- In the Client & Policy Forms window, click the Custom Forms button
- Click to select the form that you installed above
- Put a check mark in the Wait for Confirmation field and click the Create button
- Microsoft Word will open and display the form with any merged fields already pre-filled.
- Press TAB to move through the form and complete the information
